Air Fried BBQ Chicken
Gluten-Free, Lactose-Free, Dairy-Free, Sugar-Free, Keto, Paleo, Vegan Option (See Below), Wild Avocado Feel Great Protocol

Serves 3 to 4 as a protein entrée. The recommended portion for males is 6oz, and for females is 4 oz.
Equipment Needed
1. Air Fryer
2. Oil Sprayer
3. Temperature Probe
4. Cooking Brush
Ingredients
20 oz skinless, boneless chicken breast or 28 oz skinless chicken legs. (approximately 27 to 28% of a chicken leg is bone)
Fried chicken spices to taste (see Fried Chicken Spice below)
Avocado oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Barbecue Sauce (see recipe for
Sugar Free Barbeque Sauce
)
or use Primal Kitchen Sugar-Free Barbecue Sauce
Instructions
1. Spray the chicken with the avocado oil
2. Sprinkle with fried chicken spice on generously
3. Spray the chicken with the avocado oil a second time
4. Set the Air Fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
5. Set the timer to the following:
Chicken Breast – 20 minutes depending upon the thickness of the chicken breast
Chicken Legs – 18 to 20 minutes depending upon the meatiness of the chicken legs
6. Check the temperature to make sure that the chicken is cooked to 165 degrees Fahrenheit
7. Brush on barbecue sauce, serve, and enjoy! (salt and pepper to taste)
Fried Chicken Spice Recipe
Ingredients:
4 Teaspoons salt
1 Tablespoon dried thyme
1 Tablespoon dried basil
2 Teaspoons dried oregano
2 Teaspoons celery salt
1 Tablespoon black pepper
2 Tablespoons mustard powder
4 Tablespoons paprika
4 Tablespoons garlic salt
2 Tablespoons powdered ginger
3 Tablespoons white pepper (substitute black pepper if you don’t have ground white pepper)
For a Spicy Variation, add 1/4 to 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper depending on how spicy you want it.
Instructions: Mix the previous spices together in a glass jar and add to the chicken. This is plenty of spice for a fair amount of chicken depending on how much spice you want to add.
Vegan Option
Serve the
roasted cauliflower steak
with the sugar-free barbecue sauce. Sprinkle fried chicken seasonings on cauliflower steak before roasting.
